Dear FoxTrot Food Vendor:

 

The 30th Marion FoxTrot festival will be held on Saturday, May 18th, 2024!  Of course you are a very important part of the festival.  With the large number of hungry people expected to attend, there should be a great opportunity for you to have a successful day.

RULES AND REGULATION

  • Fee:  $300.00 (without electricity) $325.00 (with electricity)          

  • There will be an additional $25 fee for electricity.

  • All fees are NON-REFUNDABLE upon receipt.

  • Along with your application and fee, you must send a copy of your insurance and business license.  If you do not have a South Carolina Business license, you will be able to purchase one on site from an IRS Representative.  These licenses will be good for one (1) year in South Carolina.

  • Food vendors must be set up and ready for a DHEC inspection by 9am.

  • All tanks (gas, etc.) must be secured and not freestanding. Marion Fire Department and/or designee will notify vendors of any violations. Vendors who fail to immediately comply with safety measures will forfeit vending space and fees.

  • You can begin setting up your equipment on Friday night after 7pm ONLY IF YOUR SPACE IS AVAILABLE (NO CAR PARKED IN SPACE).  WE WILL NOT NOR CAN WE ASK SOMEONE TO MOVE THEIR VEHICLE UNTIL 6AM ON SATURDAY MORNING.

  • The sale of food must stop at 7pm and you must be completely off the street by 8pm.  You can stop selling before 7pm if it takes longer than (1) one hour to breakdown your station.

  • Water will be provided at service locations.  No one vendor will have exclusive rights to the water source.

  • Food Price list must be at least 12x16 and in plain view.

  • Trash bins will be provided and serviced for each vendor.  You are not allowed to put trash on the street.  City of Marion Street Department employees will be at the festival to help with any of your trash removal issues.

  • Vendors cannot place any of their items on the sidewalk behind their booth.  Please request enough space to place all items on the sides of your booth.

  • If using a grill or any other equipment that uses oil to prepare your food, you must place some type of container under the equipment to catch any oil that may leak.  Vendors not following these guidelines or is caught dumping ANY substances down the street drain will be fined no less than $300.00 by the Marion Police Department.

  • Vendors can sell sodas, water, tea and lemonade, but NO ALCOHOL OF ANY TYPE WILL BE SOLD.  You will be fined by the Marion Police Department.

  • The Marion Foxtrot Festival is a family-oriented, community event, therefore profanity, fighting and alcohol will not be tolerated.
